Trouble Shooting

Lets talk about some things that you may be experiencing with your cloth diapers.

Leaks:
Leaks can be caused by a number of different reasons. The most common reason would be a residue problem. What I mean is that you have a build up of soap on the diaper that is preventing the cloth from absorbing. And instead is repelling the liquid.
The residue test: take a clean diaper over to your sink. Let some water run over your fingers then let the water drip off your fingers onto the diaper/insert. If the water dropletts bead and roll off then you have a residue issue. If it does not bead off the leaking is not due to residue.
You may have a size issue. Your diaper may be too small or too big. If you are having gaps around the legs you will want to try to get a more snug fit.
Lastly, it could be as simple as needing to change the diaper more often. Cloth diapers need to be changed more often than a disposable diaper. This is because the cloth diaper doesn't have all the gels and fiber fillers that the disposible has.
